Congratulations (noun) & Jealousy (noun):
An expression of praise for an achievement or good wishes on a special occasion; The state or feeling of being jealous.
Hi hey hello! Hope your winter is going fabulous.
I am very excited to announce that my very best friend, Christian, was accepted into graduate school. If you haven’t guessed, this is the congratulations part! I am so happy for him and excited to see what is in store for his future. I’ll admit, I did experience jealous feelings when I found out about his acceptance because we will be separated for a while now… and I really mean a while.
I think the best way of dealing with these feelings is to be upfront with your friend, not confrontational, talk to them and also listen. I used this approach when talking to Christian, and he was really understanding of the way I was feeling. He told me, "Sometimes we need to sacrifice a little to receive more later."
Since our talk we’ve still enjoyed our ‘just do it’ activities and a lot more now than before, since our time together will be cut short. One recent activity we did together was hiking at Hanging Rock State Park. I’ll admit, I huffed and puffed all the way up, but when I got to the very top the view was amazing. I am terrified of heights so I faced some portion of my fear walking all the way to the edged of the “hanging rock.”
We used a couple different cameras during our hike ( iphone, canon & nikon dslr, and nikon film)
