Change (verb):

Make or become different.

I've had a couple of significant lifestyle changes, making it difficult to update my site.

My life updates:

  1. I started a new job, which I love! I no longer have to suffer working in the middle of the night.
  2. Because of this change, I had a tough time adjusting back to a regular schedule for a while.
  3. I moved! Because of my new job I had to move to a new city, which I love and hate (I am not a city gal, but its growing on me).

I also photographed my first wedding with an amazing couple that discovered me on my blog. I enjoyed capturing the special day, and I desire to do more weddings in the future! Click here to see my work.

This may sound super cheesy, but I feel much more alive nowadays than I did a couple of months back. I am experiencing life in a whole new way working in the daytime, sleeping at night and touring the nation’s capital just a few miles away from my apartment.

Yes, there have been some hardships and probably more to come, but I had to ask myself: What do I want to accomplish? Am I happy? And if not, how do I change that?

These questions and the support from my family and friends helped me get to where I am now, and I am so proud of myself and ready to continue working towards more goals and happiness.

If things aren’t going right and you are feeling unhappy, ask yourself the same questions I asked myself. A great way to start a change is to write things down!

"Sometimes the smallest step in the right direction ends up being the biggest step of your life. Tiptoe if you must, but take the step."

Innocence (noun):

Lack of guile or corruption; purity.

Happy March!

Have you heard about the #DearMe Campaign? To celebrate International Women's Day, YouTube is asking women to upload a video giving advice they would give to their younger self. I think the campaign is a beautiful idea and I’ve enjoyed watching all the inspirational women on YouTube. I’ve been working on this project for a little while, searching for the right pieces to my puzzle.

Without further ado here is my #DearMe letter to my younger self. If you have a favorite or your video, please share it in the comment box below!

“I am stronger because I had to be, I’m smarter because of my mistakes, happier because of the sadness I’ve known, and now wiser because I learned.”
