Preservation or deliverance from harm, ruin, or loss.
I hope the first 28ish days of 2018 have been wonderful for you.
I'm very excited about this year especially because I'm in my last semester of grad school!!!
Right before school started, I spent my first trip of the year in California and visited Salvation Mountain. It was awesome!
Salvation Mountain is artwork made from adobe, straw, and thousands of gallons of lead-free paint as a tribute to God, created by Leonard Knight. I have seen other bloggers and YouTubers visit during Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, so I went as part of a road trip to Joshua Tree National Park.
Christian and I got on the road around 5:30 am to drive from Los Angeles to Salvation Mnt., which usually takes about 3 hours. We stopped for Starbucks and gas in Palm Springs and arrived around 9:00 am.
I wanted to get there early for two reasons:
1. Usually, there's a large crowd during noon.
2. Because it's the desert, it gets hot later in the day.
We did take a lot of photos, and I made a short video of our time. Be sure to keep scrolling and tell me what you think in the comments below!
